Selecting Text on Web PagesThe text you hear spoken on a Web page when using JAWS may not always be visible on the screen. Choose Yes to replace all the text on the Clipboard with the new selection.EXERCISE: Spend a few minutes of practice using FSClipboard in the Saint Pete document. JAWS asks if you want to overwrite the previously saved items. This can be useful in programs like Microsoft® Word if you do not want to include styles, numbering, and other formatting information when you paste text into a document.If you want to replace all of the text on the Clipboard with a new text selection, use CTRL+C or CTRL+X instead of INSERT+WINDOWS Key+C. Move to the line in the virtual viewer that begins "This is an HTML or PDF document." Copy the next two sentences, but no more, and paste them into the practice document. Now try to copy the file name from the Web page and paste it into the practice document.NOTE: Be sure to switch JAWS back to select and copy full content using onscreen highlight, the default behavior, when you are finished. Press TAB to move to the OK button, and then activate it with the SPACEBAR. Press DOWN ARROW to move to the tree view item Select and Copy - Full content using onscreen highlight and press SPACEBAR to change it to Select and Copy - From virtual cursor.
